Order of the One
Overview
The Order of the One (OTO) is a theocratic and imperial power ruling over many planets. It was born in the Crowns Age, when Tensho Soroyoto, a prince of the Soroyoto dynasty, created the religion of the One, the Single God, attempting to concentrate all authority in his own hands.
His attempt failed and he was exiled along with his followers. From exile they spread, conquered worlds, and imposed their rigid doctrine everywhere. Over time they formed a powerful alliance that became known as the OTO.
Council of Veil
The Council of Veil is the supreme governing body of the Order of the One, its central government. At its head stands the High One.

The emblem of the OTO
The emblem of the OTO consists of two frozen waves, two waves of ice, enclosed within a hexagon.
Society and Religion
The OTO is a union of religion and politics, where law is religion and religion is law. Every planet under their control is a planet-state, a unified entity.
Their primary world is the planet Sanctheim, and its capital, Odravar, is a monumental city built around the Sanct, the Great Temple.
The OTO declares that there is only one God, manifested in nine aspects. Different interpretations of these aspects often create tension among the faithful, but all are bound to obey the central Hierarchy.
Their leaders are not generals but High Priests of the Absolute Truth, governing both spiritually and politically.
The Absolute Truth is simple: there is one God, one Law, one Universe, and one supreme priest-ruler.
The High One is the ultimate leader.
Culture and Discipline
The people of the OTO live in strict austerity. Art, theater, and poetry are forbidden, except for sacred hymns and liturgical chants. Music is exclusively religious. Their language is uniform, their clothing standardized, and every dawn the entire population prays simultaneously.
Children are raised by the state from the age of five, shaped into citizens of discipline and obedience. Men and women are trained as warriors with no distinction between them.
The Cities
The cities of the OTO are not allowed to exceed the sacred number of 362880 inhabitants (1×2×3×4×5×6×7×8×9), a divine limit etched into their doctrine.
- Ninefold. Limit of 362880 inhabitants.
- Eightfold. Limit of 40320 inhabitants.
- Sevenfold. Limit of 5040 inhabitants.
Settlements are cities, always oriented and designed according to the Sacred Grid and the Sacred Limit.
Dimensions, boundaries, and layout are defined by the Singular Canon. Square blocks connected at their edges form roads that radiate toward the central square-block where the Sanct, the central temple, stands. Many blocks remain empty, waiting for time to fill them with inhabitants.
Warriors of the One
The warriors of the OTO resemble northern raiders, tall, broad-shouldered, and fearsome in battle.
Forsworn
The society honors the Forsworn, an elite caste of warriors who do not marry, do not form families, and devote their entire lives to the Final Cause. They eat in common halls, train relentlessly, and believe that death in battle is the highest sacrifice to the One. A Forsworn is a soldier “who has renounced” or “who has sworn to abandon” the ordinary life and its joys.
They believe in an afterlife of pure spiritual bliss, without material reward, and in a hell for those who disobey. For them, the battlefield is both altar and judgment.
Ambition
The ultimate aim of the OTO, known to them as the Great Cause, is nothing less than the domination of the entire galaxy, the imposition of their doctrine on every planet.
They see themselves as the chosen force destined to bring unity under the One, crushing diversity and freedom in the name of the Absolute Truth.
