Soreth
Overview
Soreth is one of the oldest and most enigmatic operatives of the Corp. His origins are unclear and his age unknown, yet his presence carries the weight of someone who has witnessed far more than he chooses to reveal.
He appears only at pivotal moments in history, when a fracture opens in the world and established balances begin to collapse.

Role in the Corp
Soreth is a warrior, but also something deeper. He belongs to the ancient generation of Corpers trained to guard truth rather than power. He is part of a small circle with access to the memory of the First and to archives unseen by any external authority. His role is not tied to command but to awareness. He represents the part of the Corp that refuses silence when rulers stray from their purpose.
Nature and Philosophy
Soreth speaks with calm precision, without the need to assert himself. His manner suggests someone who has survived great upheavals and knows that the deepest truths require no force to be heard. He views the First not as a leader, but as a historical state of being, something that emerges when the universe shifts its direction. For Soreth, power has little meaning; memory and knowledge are what save worlds when their leaders fail.
Interaction with Aldrek Jornval
When he confronts High One Aldrek Jornval, Soreth does not seek submission. He reveals only what Aldrek already fears: that he is a pawn of the Central Stellar Bank, trapped in a chain of manipulation. He warns him of the fracture that has opened and of the darkness that will follow if he continues to serve the wrong masters. His tone is sharp yet compassionate, treating Aldrek not as an enemy but as a man standing on the brink of catastrophe.
Summary
Soreth is the shadow that appears when the world begins to fall apart. A bearer of memory, a guardian of truth, and a mirror reflecting the weight of human choices, he remains one of the most mysterious and essential figures within the Corp.
