Beneficiaries

Overview

The Beneficiaries are an informal gathering of powerful figures from Coritha, Lastor, and Daskor who meet in private to discuss the consequences of the Disclosure. They are not an organization and have no common structure or coordinated plan. What unites them is their position within the elites that benefited from the long term operation of the political and economic system of Olmara.

Composition

The group includes aristocratic landowners, politicians from opposing parties, industrialists, major media owners, academics, and religious representatives.

  • Aldren Genor, member of the Council of Clans of Coritha and host of the meeting
  • Seron Marath, professor of Political Economy and theorist of the system
  • Iram Droven, priest of the Heptad and bearer of religious legitimacy
  • Darian Vexel, publisher controlling the major media of Lastor
  • Kerron Halev and Miren Solas, political rivals from Lastor
  • Silas Vane, technology industrialist
  • Mel Kaelen and Dorian Mar, politician and businessman from Daskor

Role and Significance

The Beneficiaries did not design the mechanism revealed by the Disclosure, but they are products of it. Their businesses endured, their political careers stabilized, and their media groups survived through selective credits, mergers, and silent interventions that were presented as the natural behavior of the market.

The Impact of the Disclosure

The publication of the Disclosure dismantles the dominant narrative of free competition and spontaneous balance. The Beneficiaries are confronted with the fact that their prosperity was not always the result of merit or social choice, but part of a controlled framework of stability that required both winners and victims.

Perspective

Despite their ideological differences, all acknowledge that they lack the means to overturn the system that created them. The stability they invoke is not only a social necessity but also a condition of personal and collective survival. After the Disclosure, the Beneficiaries are no longer certain they can preserve either.
