Kenaro Sorakami

Overview

Kenaro Sorakami is the king of the planet country Syndarion and a distant cousin of the Soroyoto line. He rules with the traditional rigor of aristocracy yet not in an absolutist manner, since his authority is balanced by the presence of the Judge class.

Role

As king he presides over the council of aristocrats who form the government of Syndarion and uses his position to shape diplomatic initiatives. He convenes the Council of the Syndarion Union in emergency sessions to pass resolutions condemning the blockade of Syndarion by the forces of Emperor Raiken Soroyoto and supporting Akirado Soroyoto. He works to build international legitimacy for Akirado and proposes cooperation with Mechory, the planet of artificers, to construct a fleet. He presents these moves as collective decisions of the Syndarion Union to strengthen resistance against Raiken and secure resources and allies.

Personality

Practical and realistic, he maintains a sense of balance between honor and self interest. He understands the trade offs and negotiations required within the Syndarion Union and holds no illusions about the demands that follow every political step.
