Metis

Overview

Metis is a solar system explored by the Sorestian Empire shortly after the Explorers completed the mapping of the region. Its distance from the territory of the Order of the One kept it free from religious and political claims, thus avoiding conflicts and disputes over influence.

Within this system the empire encountered indigenous populations on Metis-3 and Metis-4, small groups in an almost primitive social and technological state, yet speaking Comla. Neither planet showed geological or economic value, leading the empire to adopt a policy of minimal intervention.

Metis-3, locally known as Kageri, was partially converted into an open prison on one of its continents, while Metis-4, Hokari, remained largely unchanged, preserving castles, han, and agrarian societies. Metis stands as a clear example of a system under selective imperial control, shaped by restraint rather than full colonial transformation.
