Sorestian Empire

Overview

The Sorestian Empire is the dominant power within the Syndarion Union of Nations. It is a heavily militarized imperial autocracy built on the authority of the Emperor.

Central World

The heart of the Empire is the planet state Sorestia a unified kingdom. Its capital is Soroto seat of the Imperial Palace and the central government.

The Soroyoto Dynasty

The throne is held by the Soroyoto one of the oldest dynasties in recorded history. From this lineage the Empire its central world and its capital took their names binding identity and power into a single origin.

The history of the Soroyoto reaches back to the Crowns Age when monarchies and empires spread across their primordial world.

The current Emperor is Raiken Soroyoto who seized power from his elder brother the deposed Emperor Akirado Soroyoto.

Akirado was betrayed in battle against a rebellious world of the Sorestian Empire abandoned by generals loyal to Raiken captured and later ransomed with imperial funds. On his return journey to Sorestia a mutiny erupted aboard the vessel carrying him during which he was blinded. The incident was never resolved and many dark and unclear details surround the circumstances of his injury.

Under imperial law the Emperor must be physically whole and this requirement was used as pretext for Akirado’s removal.

Raiken now governs from Soroto in constant fear haunted by the enduring popularity of his brother.

Within the chronicles of the dynasty the belief in the One was born from an ambitious prince Tensho Soroyoto during the Crowns Age.

His attempt failed he was condemned and exiled along with his followers. From this exile arose the Order of the One OTO which later emerged as a hostile force beyond the Empire’s borders.

Military and Penal Worlds

The Empire maintains overwhelming military strength. Since ancient times it has used the prison world Kageri for the exile of traitors rebels and dangerous captives. One of its continents functions as an open air prison where warlords rule over inmates while the other remains shrouded in mystery.

Record A 0 "The Pattern"

Cycles of power repeated in every age regardless of culture or technology. The accumulation of wealth in few hands always leads to the concentration of power in few hands and power breeds the desire for expansion and conquest through war.

Only when subjects cease to obey and soldiers refuse to carry out conquering aggressive and genocidal orders will true change appear.

Until then history remains a machine that reproduces itself fueled by the obedience of the many and the ambition of the few.

Notes

The Sorestian Empire stands as the enduring example of centralized force within the Syndarion Union a nexus of imperial tradition military dominance and dynastic ambition. Its internal fractures and the unresolved fate of Akirado Soroyoto cast long shadows over Raiken’s rule anchoring the Empire’s political tension in fear loyalty and the burden of ancient law.
