Kenrai Shoraku
Overview
Kenrai Shoraku is a general of the Syndarion Union, born into a nameless yet wealthy aristocratic house on the planet Sorestia. He became one of the most infamous military figures of his era due to his role in the Tettari genocide.
Role in the Tettari Operation
Shoraku served as the lead military officer for the Syndarion Union during the extermination of the Tettari, an operation carried out in collaboration with the Liberal Alliance. He was commissioned for the mission by Jorai Yoshimoto of the Sorestia Council of Ministers. His involvement placed him at the center of one of the darkest joint operations in SUN and LAP history.
To ensure the operation’s success he halted the final assault on the LAP's Falren Bastion on the planet Relka, allowing selected LAP officers to escape alive so that they could participate in the upcoming mission on Tettera. This coordination revealed the depth of the political and military maneuvering behind the operation.
Downfall
When Emperor Raiken Soroyoto discovered Shoraku’s involvement and the political manipulation surrounding the Tettari genocide he reacted with fury. Shoraku was stripped of authority and exiled to the prison planet Kageri. His exile marked the end of his military career and the collapse of his influence within both SUN and Sorestia.
Legacy
Kenrai Shoraku’s name remains associated with obedience to corrupt authority and with the moral collapse that accompanied the genocide. His fall serves as a reminder of the political pressures, secrecy and betrayal that shaped the final years of the old imperial order.
